Ahmed Amer
Ahmed Amer is an Associate Professor of Computer Engineering at Santa Clara University, where his research focuses on data and systems and design for sustainability and resilience. He is also a faculty scholar at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, where he studies ethical issues involving data storage, processing, and management. He holds a doctorate in Computer Science from the Storage Systems Research Center at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and he continues to work with them today. His extracurricular interests range from arguments for the right to record to how ancient Mesopotamian and Egyptian creation myths can illuminate different programming language choices.
