2023 Annual Report

We are pleased to release our 2023 Annual Report, which summarizes the Hub’s accomplishments from our fifth year in operation and identifies our short—and long-term plans for the future.

In 2023, we:

• Trained nearly 300 changemakers through programs like the Nonprofit and Public Interest Fellowship and the Train the Trainer short courses.
• Hosted informational webinars on fellow policy projects and communicating for policy. 
• Published numerous resources on important policy topics, such as education technology, data brokers, and skills for new government hires.
• Empowered alums to impact policy by releasing a data privacy app, publishing studies on sea-level rise, advocating for legal accountability for tech giants, and more.
• Supported our alums who have now secured vital policy roles, such as the Chief Digital Strategy Officer for the City of New York and Data & Analytics Governance Lead for the California Office of Data and Innovation.
• Strengthened our alumni network through networking events, mentorship, and connecting alums with policy impact opportunities. 
• Expanded the Hub team with three new full-time employees!
